We have taken Tom away from his comfortable weather in the Northeast. Now we are punishing him and sending him to Purgatory of New Orleans where it's Hot and Humid with a broken Air Conditioner. We'll get used to it. (Hope, Hope Hope)
Since our last post we traveled West to New York and visited Niagara Falls for a few days then headed West to Indiana to do some work on the coach. We had a few things fixed. While we were there we were put on Stand by as FEMA inspectors to head South after Isaac did his business. This is a job we do as independent contractors. Our job is to go out to people's homes who have made an application to FEMA for assistance and verify the information. It seems like this will be rewarding work to help some people in need.
So our plans to go to Idaho and Oregon for the Fall and Winter have now been diverted as we head South. While on our way South one of our 3 AC's made a big bang sound and died. Currently we have one being trucked in from Indiana very near where we were having work done. If only it could have broken a week earlier. Tom and I thought we might make it to Tuesday to have it installed in North East Louisiana where it's being delivered to. But no last evening we received the call to report in 24 hours to the heart of New Orleans. After some quick calls we found the last 50 amp hook up in a campground near the center of New Orleans and a rental vehicle for Lorraine to use.
I'll post updates as I have time. It seems this may be difficult with a job that requires us to work 7 days a week.
Thanks for following us. This is just another part of our ever changing adventure as we Navigate the unknown.
